Foreglow is designed around private, local storage. Your board, practice history, saved notes, and downloaded audio stay on your phone unless you choose to export or share them.

What leaves your phone

When you ask Foreglow to generate a note, the text needed to make that note and its audio is sent to the protected generation service. It is used to return the result, prevent abuse, and control service cost. Foreglow does not use your private writing for advertising.

Voice copies

A voice copy is created only after explicit consent and a spoken consent phrase. You can delete it from Instruments at any time. Once deleted, it cannot be used to make another note.

No account

The app does not require an email address or password. Purchases are processed by Apple and the subscription service. Foreglow does not receive your card number.

Exports and archives

Audio exports and encrypted archives go only to the location you choose. You are responsible for keeping an exported archive safe. Foreglow cannot restore an archive you lose.

Deletion

You can remove local Foreglow data from inside the app. Deleting the app also removes local data that has not been exported. Voice-copy deletion is available separately in Instruments.
